This is why Antigua and US are looking towards the World Trade Organization to help them resolve their disputes in a diplomatic fashion, making everyone happy. Last April, the WTO took sides. They sided with the US ban on online casinos. They issued this ruling on the base that some Caribbean nations have hurt their economies.

Since the United States does allow betting on horse racing, sometimes via the internet, Antigua and other Caribbean nations feel positive things will change. They interpret this as a possibility that laws against online casinos operating on their territory may be softened in the near future. The WTO, though has sided with the US on their position of online casinos, they have asked the US to clarify what that means. They have asked the US to clarify their position on this topic by April.

Neena Moorjani, Representative of the US Trade Representative (USTR) commented about the argument surrounding online casinos. It is a small issue that needs to be resolved, stated Morrjani.
